{"id":6324,"date":"2020-04-13T16:48:37","date_gmt":"2020-04-13T11:18:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpimwb.glohtesting.com\/?p=6324"},"modified":"2020-04-13T19:16:22","modified_gmt":"2020-04-13T13:46:22","slug":"ambedkar-jayanti-left-pledge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cpimwb.glohtesting.com\/en\/ambedkar-jayanti-left-pledge\/","title":{"rendered":"Ambedkar Jayanti: Left Pledge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&nbsp; April 13,<\/strong> <strong>Monday,<\/strong> <strong> 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist)-Liberation, the All India Forward Bloc and the Revolutionary Socialist Party have issued the following statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Observe Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Left parties call upon the people of India to observe Ambedkar Jayanti by taking a pledge at 5pm on April 14, on the following issues within the confines of the lockdown restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Safeguarding our Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Demanding immediate cash transfers and distribution of food for the poor and needy who are suffering under this lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.Strengthening the bonds of social unity of our people without any discrimination based on religion, caste, gender or disability. There cannot be any assaults on life, liberty, democratic rights or expressions of untouchability, discrimination in the name of fighting the pandemic during lockdown restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our call is to maintain \u201cphysical distance with social solidarity\u201d not \u201c social distancing\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
